All-American Mulholland to Play Soccer at Hofstra

The midfielder starred in MacArthur's run to the Class AA girls soccer state title last fall.

Jill Mulholland led MacArthur to its first state title this past fall. Her next challenge? Bringing an NCAA title to Hofstra.

Hofstra announced on their website Friday that MacArthur's All-American girls soccer star signed a letter of intent Friday. The Nassau County Class AA Player of the Year will join the Pride after four years bossing the Lady Generals' midfield.

In addition to her All-American selection, Mulholland was a first-team All-State selection and was named to All-County and All-Long Island teams. She was named the MVP of the Nassau County Finals, and her goal in the state title game provided MacArthur with the winning 1-0 margin.

Mulholland also spent time with the Region 1 Olympic Development Program. Her Albertson Fury club team won State titles in 2007, 2009 and 2011 and one Region 1 championship (in 2007).
