Dec. 8: Local Residents on TV, Sports Previews

1) Some local residents will be be making appearances on national television today.Wantagh resident Cara Thompson will be competing for a prestigious executive chef position at a Chicago restaraunt on the Food Network reality show "Chef Hunters" at 10 p.m. Girl Scouts Anne McKenna of Wantagh and Marissa Bucaro of Seaford will be making guest appearances on Hallmark Channel’s “Emeril’s Table” airing at 11 a.m.
2) We've been previewing each of the local basketball team's seasons all week. Today, you can see the Division girls preview at 9 a.m. You can also check out our Wantagh boys, Wantagh girls, MacArthur boys and Island Trees girls previews.
3) Save Seaford Sports, an organization dedicated to raising the necessary $141,000 needed to restore Seaford Middle School athletic teams cut from the budget, is holding a fundraiser today where families can have holiday portraits taken.
