Levittown Plays Part in Launch of Huff/Post 50

The new section for baby boomers interviewed several Levittowners who grew up during the Baby Boomer generation, including musician Eddie Money.

The Huffington Post launched a new section called Huff/Post 50 today, a site telling the stories of the baby boomer generation.

Playing a big part in the site's launch is a feature on several Levittown residents' memories of growing up in the early years of Levittown. The first feature covers Levittown from the late 1940s to the late 1960s.

Residents interviewed for the feature include successful recording artist Eddie Money (known in his Levittown days as Eddie Mahoney). Also interviewed was author Steve Bergsman, whose book "Growing up Levittown" was the subject of a two-part article on Patch in July, as well as a book talk at Island Trees High School last month. Several excerpts from Bergsman's book are featured here and here on the Huffington Post site.

Find out what's happening in Levittownwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The series of articles on Levittown's history will continue throughout the week.
