Local vendors host activities for children and families at Levittown Hall.
For the eleventh year, local families rid their winter blues with an afternoon of activities sponsored by the Levittown Community Council at the community's annual Winterfest.
Amongst the vendors at Saturday's event were Kempo Karate, who performed a special student showcase, and Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers, whose stock of state-of-the-art model trains attracted a large crowd of various ages.
Levittown Community Council president Bob Koenig said he is proud of how the annual festival has grown over the last decade and hopes that the people of Levittown know there is an organization working to provide for them.
"The Community Council is there for Levittown," said Koenig. "Our Winterfest is a function to show our commitment to the community and to the children of the Levittown and Island Trees school districts. We hope our time and effort has shown."
