In the 59 years I've lived here in view of a stop sign, easily 9 out of 10 drivers don't stop. 7 ofRead More 10 don't even tap on their brakes. I come to a full stop at every stop sign, much to the chagrin (and horn-honking) of anyone behind me. It has definitely gotten worse over the years. I'd love to see some comments from some of those people justifying their moves.

FYI, Pres Obama lived in NYC for about three or four years, when he attended Columbia UniversityRead More for two years and worked in Manhattan for a year or two after graduation from Columbia. Therefore he may have traveled to Long Island in that time.

Doesn't Levittown have an historical Society or museum. They might want that photo and that 1948Read More issue of LIFE MAG.

Nice trip down memory lane - just a couple of comments - TSS was put in place in the early 1960's -Read More it was an empty lot in '58. Also JFK was killed on November 22, 1963. I sure would like to see Levittown Center (the area around Tr-County was called that originally) restored to that early luster - the gleaming tile in their entry ways, the stores like Grants, Lobel's, even May's were so bright inside.
