Resident Supports American Lung Association, Job Listings and Tax Forum

-  Danielle Simone, a young mother from Levittown, is supporting the American Lung Association of the Northeast through the ING NYC Marathon.  By choosing to participate, she has committed to fundraising $5,000 to support the Lung Association’s research, education and advocacy. Read more here

- Big Brothers Big Sisters of LI is hosting a Battle of the Bands from 6-10PM on Saturday, November 2 at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall located at 3232 Railroad Avenue in Wantagh. The evening is sponsored by Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein PC and the featured bands include The Haze, The Montauk Project and Citizens Beach.    

-  Did you see the top story of Monday? Bethpage firefighters pulled a 60-year-old man out of a burning building Monday morning in a fire that authorities have termed “suspicious.” Check out the story here. 

- The First Presbyterian Church of Levittown is hosting a Free Resiliency Skills Workshop for Adults on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.      

-  The Levittown Library hosts a taxpayer’s forum at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. This program will provide residents with information on how to lower their tax bill through property tax exemptions, how to challenge their assessment, and highlight other services available.
