$2,400 Raised for Surgery for Jack Russell Terrier

An online campaign for a surgery to save a Jack Russell Terrier has brought in $2,400, just $100 short of their $2,500 goal.

Susan Benjamin created the fundraiser on GoFundMe.com in April 2013. The page reads:

"Shelly is a 6-month-old Jack Russell Terrier brought to the East Village Green Animal Hospital to be put to sleep, because of severe deformity of her legs.

However, Dr. Blonder and the staff at East Village Green Animal Hospital feel Shelly deserves a second chance. Together with Dr. Tomas Infernuso we hope to provide a life changing surgery to correct both of her legs.

We are hoping for the day Shelly can lead a normal life and can run with her sister Zoe."
