[VIDEO] IT Grad Asks Model Kate Upton to Frat Formal

Christopher Henken is hoping his YouTube video invitation reaches the Sports Illustrated cover girl.

In his final year at Penn State University, Christopher Henken is holding high hopes for his last Sigma Phi Epsilon formal.

Henken, a 2008 graduate of Island Trees High School, posted a cordial invitation to famed model and actress Kate Upton through a YouTube video Tuesday afternoon.

Upton is best known for her appearances and cover spot in Sports Illustrated magazine, but has also graced the pages of Victoria's Secret, Guess and Esquire.

"Since exploding onto the scene as last year's Rookie of The Year in Sports Illustrated, she has taken over the modeling world," said Henken, who is set to graduate with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

"She's only 19 years old but has managed to make herself into a bit of a household name."

"Modeling is obviously an art just like any other, so it proves that she's put in a lot of work to get where she is," he added. "That's pretty cool to me."

Though he said he knows reaching Upton will be difficult, Henken believes the power of social media may help him reach his goal.

"It was actually my roommate's idea to make a video," Henken explained. "He jokingly said that he was going to do one for another model and I decided to run with it. In this day and age, social media is capable of pretty much anything."

If Upton is unable to accompany Henken, he knows it will still be a special night commemmorating his entire experience at Penn State.

"This is the last time me and all the amazing friends I've made over the last four years will be together, for a while at least," Henken said.

"Being in a fraternity is a lot more than what you see in the movies. Formal is a way to celebrate the end of a year, so this one is the celebration of an end of an era."

If by chance Upton does accept his invitation, Henken said he will merely do his best to show her a great time.

"Knowing how popular and busy she is, I would honestly just love a response," he said.

"But it's not everyday that celebrities get to enjoy the little things out of the spotlight and my parents raised me to treat a lady with kindness and respect so I would simply do just that."
