junior Lyndsey Petrofsky was recently informed that her art contest entry had
been selected to appear on a billboard in Times Square.
Petrofsky had earlier
followed up on a Twitter post by Sharpie, encouraging student-artists to submit
drawings relating to the popular boy band One Direction while utilizing the
company’s markers.
She rendered her
drawing using both fine and thick Sharpie markers, then submitted it to the
company. A day later she received the following Sharpie tweet: “Loved your
drawing. Here’s what it looked like in Times Square.”
