The Levittown Swimming Association held its annual Swim-A-Thon on Tuesday evening at the East Village Green Pool. Almost 200 swimmers within the organization participated from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This year, all proceeds were donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was brought on by a vote this year after a former swimmer with the LSA lost their best friend to the disease.
Times were kept for the swimmers, some of whom swam over 3 miles. Prizes were given out for their accomplishments and raffled off to others in attendance.
