Between a major gas leak, a car crashing into a Levittown business and multiple crimes, there was a ton of news this month in Levittown.

#5 Hempstead Turnpike Re-Opens Following Gas Leak  - The Turnpike was closed temporarily in both directions due to a gas leak on August 26. Levittown firefighters responded to the scene and the turnpike opened about an hour and a half later. 

#4 Missing Bethpage Woman Last Seen in Levittown - Nassau County Police issued a Silver Alert for the missing Bethpage woman, Jessica Cereoli. 

#3 Car Crashes into Faddy Malone’s - A car crashed into the side ofFaddy Malone's Bar and Grill in early August.   

#2 Police: Suspect Poured Black Crushed Rubber into Levittown Pools Nassau County Police are looking for suspects who they said caused damage to several Levittown pools. The suspects have still not been found. 

#1 Levittown Home Sells for $600K, Highest Priced Sale of 2013 - A two-story Levittown home with four beds and two and a half baths sold for $600,000 on July 12, making it the most expensive home sale in town this year.
