Where are the Worst Potholes in Levittown?

What areas of town need the most work? How does this year compare to years past? Let us know in the comments section.

Snow has been cleared from the streets of Levittown, but winter continues to take it's toll throughout town even when the white stuff isn't falling anymore.

As is the case every year, potholes are cropping up on roads around Long Island. However, this year is expected to be a particularly bad year for potholes because of the freeze/thaw/freeze cycle of winter weather.

In the Town of Hempstead, potholes should be reported directly to the Highway Department at (516) 489-5000, ext. 3471 or via the helpline form. Residents should provide the exact street address and the nearest cross street.

During the winter months, the Highway Department fills the potholes with temporary cold patch, until permanent repairs can be made the following spring, according to the TOH website

For potholes located on County roads: The Nassau County Department of Public Works has an email address to for residents to report potholes. To report a pothole, send a specific location to pothole_emergencies@nassaucountyny.gov.
