The YES Community Counseling Center of Levittown has announced that it will be conducting an "Active Parenting" program for parents with elementary school age children.
"All the love we have for our children does not automatically make us effective parents," YES said in a press release. "Parenting, like any other skill, is something we learn, and learning “on the job” can be frustrating."
"As parents we become confused when, after constant repetition of the same theme, children still do not respond. “Active Parenting” is perhaps the most effective program ever offered in the “how to” of raising children."

The program will be held at the YES office, which is located at 152 Center Lane in Levittown, beginning Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. The program will run for six weeks.
The cost of the program is $60. If you are interested in attending please contact Angela Piccininni at YES Community Counseling Center, 516-799-3203. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.

YES is a nonprofit organization serving southeastern Nassau County. Through social workers, addiction specialists, mental health counselors and medical professionals, the center provides counseling, drug and alcohol treatment, school-based social work, prevention and outreach, parenting programs, among other services.
