Levittown Celtic FC take 1st place in annual Rudy Lamonica tournament

On Saturday February 21, 2014 a group of young men also known as Levittown Celtic FC showed that hard work and continuous training does pay off. The boys ended up taking first place in the annual Rudy Lamonica tournament by posting a 3-0 record. What was more impressive was how they acted as a team rather than individual players. From the very start of the tournament by huddling in the corner with their arms around each other it was quite clear that these boys already knew that "team" was far more important than individual goals. Many of the goals that brought the boys their first place medals actually had all 7 boys on the field touching the ball before it ended up in the back of the net. They exemplified true sportsmanship by the way the handled themselves on and off the field and truly made the coaches and parents extremely proud. Some of the competition the boys faced were teams from Bellmore, Oceanside, and Little Neck.
