Levittown students disembarked from bright yellow buses on Sept. 4 eager to start the first day of the new academic year.
Toting backpacks filled with school supplies, students in all 11 of the district’s facilities settled into their classroom routines while getting acquainted with their teachers and reacquainted with fellow classmates.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. James J. Grossane reported that the district’s opening was smooth and productive, and that everyone expressed excitement about returning to school.
“The students entered the campuses with smiles on their faces and teachers were ready to begin instruction immediately – a testament to the preparedness of administrators, teachers and support staff, as well as the eagerness of students,” he said. “On behalf of the district, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the school community and my best wishes for a productive academic year.”
