The suspect also robbed a 7-11 in Hicksville and a gas station in Farmingdale, police said.

Updated Friday at 2:20 p.m.

Police said they are looking for a man who robbed gas stations in Farmingdale and Levittown and a 7-11 in Hicksville at gun point, in a span of 20 minutes.

At 3:25 a.m. Friday, police said the man entered the USA Gas Station in Farmingdale, displaying a black handgun and demanding money. He then fled south on foot on Heisser Lane with an unknown amount of money, according to police.

At 3:40 a.m., the subject entered the Exxon at 3285 Hempstead Tpke. in Levittown, where he displayed the handgun and stole an unknown amount of money, plus packages of cigars and cigarettes. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Finally, at 3:45 a.m., the subject entered the 7-11 at 413 Jerusalem Ave. in Hicksville. He displayed the handgun and demanded cash, then fled on foot in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of money and cigarettes.

"Detectives believe this is part of a pattern of robberies," said Officer Steven Zacchia, a spokesman for the Nassau County Police.

No injuries were reported during the robberies.

Police described the subject as a black or hispanic male, 25 to 30 years of age, 5'7", slim build, with a black hooded jacket.

Just 24-hours earlier and also between 3-4 a.m. police say a man fitting the same description right-down to the jacket attempted to hold up the Shell gas station on Mineola Avenue in Roslyn Heights. He then struck at the Mobil gas station in Flower Hill and the Mobil gas station in Great Neck. The attendant at the Roslyn Heights station refused the gunman's demands and the gunman fled.

Early Tuesday morning, two stations were hit by a man fitting a similar description. A BP Gas station in Garden City Park was robbed about 3:30 a.m. and a second station was struck in West Hempstead 30 minutes later about four miles away. In both cases, the man demanded money and cigarettes.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding these crimes to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
