$1 Million Lotto Ticket Sold in Uniondale Still Not Claimed

Someone out there is sitting on a million dollar holiday surprise.

The New York Lottery announced Monday that a dozen lottery players are holding unclaimed jackpot tickets, including a $1 million prize sold in Uniondale.

On Dec. 9, 2013, a $1 million prize was sold on a "Sweet Million" drawing at Accent Lobby Store, located at 260 Reckson Plaza in Uniondale.

The jackpot tickets will expire in 2014. Over the next few months, the New York Lottery’s Yolanda Vega and Gretchen Dizer will visit the retail locations where unclaimed winning tickets were sold in an attempt to find the "missing millionaires," the New York Lottery said in a release.

If a "Missing Millionaire" is located, the NY Lottery urges the winner to sign the back of their ticket and immediately contact the NY Lottery at 518-388-0563. The winner may claim the ticket at any one of the Lottery’s Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Long Island office at 45 South Service Road, Plainview, NY.

If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, the lottery says that the prize money will be returned to the prize pool for future winners.
