Building Owned by Levittown Ford Demolished

The building was taken down last Tuesday and is the former site of a fast food restaurant.

A small building owned by Levittown Ford was demolished on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The building, located to the right of the Levittown Ford on Hempstead Turnpike, across the street from Starbucks, had been vacant for quite some time.

The building was once home of the Wetson's fast food restaurant, whose tagline was "Simply the Best," Levittown historian Paul Manton told Patch.

The new Zwanger-Pesiri is slated to be built on the site of the old Israel Community Center, located east of the Ford building. The Town of Hempstead did not have any update on the planned Zwanger facility.
