Levittown Home Sells for $600K, Highest Priced Sale of 2013

A two-story Levittown home with four beds and two and a half baths sold for $600,000 on July 12, making it the most expensive home sale in town this year.

The home on Skimmer Lane is a new construction with a full, unfinished basement.

The first floor features a living and dining room with a kitchen, while the second floor has four bedrooms, including the master suite which has a full bath and a jacuzzi, according to the MLSLI listing.

The home also features a number of energy efficient installations, including an energy star stove, double pane and insulated windows, energy star windows and storm doors, the listing says.

Levittown home prices are up 1.6 percent year-over-year as of July, with an average value of $308,200, according to Zillow. This is slightly higher than the Nassau County year-over-year increase of 1.3 percent.Nationwide, home prices are up 5.8 percent in the past year.

I'm not surprised. Inventory levels are at there lowest in years and that home was new construction. I'm seeing prices start to pick up particularly quickly in the Levittown area and other parts of Nassau County.

Skimmer Lane, not Skinner. While that house may have lots of rooms and an indoor jacuzzi, it's so close to the huge house next door to it that they could probably borrow sugar window to window!!

Good point Jessica also passed by there during a rain storm it's graded wrong the Levittown motor parkway was gushing from the back of the house to the front and creating a mud bath

It is not a Levitt home, it is a home in Levittown.

It's a brand new home that's why it's $600,000. If you were to buy one in Brooklyn like it, it would be worth $100,000 more.

thank god not levitt home, my house has full basement in levittown or wouldnt have moved here, no basement, water tank in kitches? oil tank in your backyard i feel bad for u people

How much you want to bet that basement will be rented illegally. Along with half the other house, please no more of these monsters here. i hope the neighbors turn them in if they want to rent it to multiple families.

If it wasnt for the NIMBYs there would be more legal apartments available and then there would be no market for illegal apartments.

Here is a funny fact from you know whos office You could rent rooms in your house but cant rent a apt in your house. So what happens we have a house divided with rooms for rent yeah that will make the neighborhood look great when all sorts of people sneak in and out of the houses
