Levittown’s Ultra Vision Hits a Milestone

While much has changed in Levittown over the past 40 years, Levittown's Ultra Vision has remained a staple in the community.  

Dr. Jason Bart and Ultra are coming up on their 10th anniversary at the current 3697 Hempstead Tpke. location and 40 years in Levittown in 2014. Dr. Bart said he is proud of the accomplishment, and looks forward to continuing his focus on the personalized care and service that has kept them going for so long.

“It’s just a proudness of being able to do this for another 10 years after my dad was over there for another 29 years” Dr. Bart said. Previously, the optical center was located at the Nassau Mall.

Dr. Bart is the only Optometrist in the practice, which is one thing that sets Ultra apart. He joined his father Arnold Bart’s practice in 2000. Arnold passed away in 2003 from ALS, just months after opening the new location, and Jason has been continuing his legacy since. 

Besides the new location, Dr. Bart said there have been no big changes made. Current employees have been around over 15 years, for example. 

The dedication to service seems to have made a mark, as Dr. Bart says they still have customers from when they originally opened in 1974.

“The big thing has to be service,” said Dr. Bart, who grew up in nearby Plainview.  “We take care of their eyes, get same doctor each time, and a lot of effort into each patient.”

To give thanks to the community, Ultra will have specials coming up on Saturday, April 27 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. They are offering $100.00 off any designer frame (ex: Ray Ban, Gucci. Jimmy Choo, Coach, etc.), and 50% off any sunglass. Refreshments will be available and  eyeglass liquid cleaner is the free gift, Bart said.  

Ultra specializes in all aspects of eyeglasses and sunglasses, from designer to discount, and of course all types of prescription lenses. Dr. Bart also checks for all eye related problems, including Glaucoma, Dry eye, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and much more.
