Town of Hempstead Welcomes 'Swirls and Twirls' to Levittown

The frozen yogurt store officially opened back in October.

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (pictured center) and Councilman Gary Hudes (3rd left) recently presented an official Town of Hempstead Citation to Ed, Susan, and Christine Leone of Franklin Square, the proud proprietors of Swirls and Twirls, a brand new self serve yogurt shop located on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.

Swirls and Twirls opened up in the Tri-County shopping center on Friday, Oct. 12. The store features 24 different flavors and 43 toppings, offering "endless possibilities."

The chain currently has locations in Massapequa, Nesconset, Patchogue and West Islip.

The Citation was presented in fitting recognition of Swirls and Twirls’ grand opening ceremony. Kevin Regan of Levittown (left) and Levittown Chamber of Commerce President Steve Philmus (2nd left) were also on hand for the grand opening ceremony.
