Last week we found a 1964 photo of Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown for auction on eBay.
In keeping with documentation of Levittown's rich history, this week we discovered a 1948 issue of LIFE Magazine.
Amongst other articles, this issue features a story about the "Nation's Biggest House Builder: William J. Levitt."
According to the seller:
Very Good: A book that does not look new and has been read but is in excellent condition. No obvious damage to
the cover, with the dust jacket (if applicable)
included for hard covers. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or
tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the
margins. May be very minimal identifying marks on the inside cover. Very

Doesn't Levittown have an historical Society or museum. They might want that photo and that 1948 issue of LIFE MAG.
