Community Council also reminds residents of the "Adopt a Child for the Holidays" program.
In their latest newsletter, the Levittown Community Council reminds residents of several upcoming holiday events taking place in town.
The Levittown Tree
Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the
Levittown Chamber of Commerce, will be held on
Monday, Dec. 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the Memorial Park, in front
of the Levittown Library. Toys for Tots will be collecting, so the council said an
unwrapped gift for an unfortunate child would be appreciated.
Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? The council said they are in need of donations for the Levittown School District's Holiday
Adopt-a-Family program, which provides gifts, clothes and items for families in need.
The council said they had planned to adopt two families, but the district told them because so
much is needed by this family, they have asked that the council take just one
child and try to purchase all of the items on the list they've provided.
