Current Chairman of the Fire Commissioners received 127 votes.

Timothy J. Courtney was re-elected as Levittown Fire Commissioner Tuesday night, receiving 127 votes, the fire department said.

Courtney, who is the current Chairman of the Fire Commissioners and has served the Levittown community as a volunteer firefighter for the past 50 years, ran unopposed in the election.

Courtney served the department of chief’s office from 1980 to 1987, where he was chief of the department during the last two of those years. He is also the past president of the Nassau County Association of Fire Districts and sat on the New York State Arson Board.
