Four Bulldogs Named Nassau Football All-Stars

The boys will play in the Thanksgiving game.

Four members of the Island Trees varsity football team will be playing in the Nassau County All-Star game on Thanksgiving day.

Tommy Sinclair at defensive tackle and Brandon Cassar at fullback will both start the game, while Jimmy Carabott at wide receiver and Ryan Carroll at cornerback expect to see significant playing time.

The game pits two teams of the best players from Nassau against each other - one from Nassau's Division I and IV, and one from Division II and III.

The game will be played 10 a.m. Thursday morning at the football field at the Mitchell Field Athletic Complex, adjacent to Nassau Community College in Garden City.

Coach Mike Bonsignore was honored by being named the head coach of the All-Stars, while coaches Tom McCormick and Joe Manna were also named to the staff.

Island Trees finished the season with a 4-4 record in conference IV, falling to Roosevelt in the quarterfinals game.
