There's a new business in town, offering frozen yogurt "with a twist."
"Swirls and Twirls," which offers self-serve style frozen yogurt, opened up in the Tri-County shopping center on Friday, Oct. 12. The store features 24 different flavors and 43 toppings, offering "endless possibilities."
The official grand-opening of Swirls and Twirls, located at 2945 Hempstead Tpke., will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The store is inviting the public to stop by and savor "the ultimate healthy indulgance." the event will feature music, games, free raffles and a live on-site broadcast WBLI and 94X.
In addition, one person will win free yogurt for a year and 50 percent of all proceeds on Saturday will be donated to the Levittown PTA council, according to an event listing at LifeonLongIsland.com.
The chain currently has locations in Massapequa, Nesconset, Patchogue and West Islip.
The new Swirls and Twirls will have competition from Red Mango, which recently opened in the King Kullen shopping center.
