June 25: Levittown Community Council Meeting; Lost Dog in Levittown

A look at today's news and announcements for your community.

 

  • The Levittown Community Council holds a general meeting Monday night, 7:30 p.m. The meeting will feature Chris Holder, Coordinator of the Levittown Community Watch (appointed by Legislator Dennis Dunne) as he addresses the community on this organization. The Community Watch's motto is "say something if you see something" as they " try to keep Levittown safe and remain a great place to live." The meeting is being held  at Levittown Memorial Education Center, 150 Abbey Lane, Levittown, NY at 7:30 PM in the Culinary Arts Room. Meetings are open to the public and are free of charge. 
  • Also coming up from the community council is the 15th annual Lazy Days of Summer Picnic. It will be held at the East Village Green on Jerusalem Ave., July 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  There will be free entertainment and many fun activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, relay races and crafts.
  • A Levittown dog is missing! Please help us find Juggs the Chihuahua.
  • Check out some photos from the Island Trees High School graduation on Friday and send us your best shots!
  • Help us nominate for Readers' Choice 2012 - we want to know the best of the best in several categories. We will be accepting nominations until July 9.

Just an update to date we have raised $750 dollars once we reach the first $1000 Shelly will haveRead More her first surgery to correct her right leg then 8 - 12 weeks later hopefully the funds will be available to correct her left leg
