Story by Elizabeth Sobel.

The Lady Dragons girls soccer team of Levittown’s Division Avenue High School are the recipients of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s Scholar-Athlete Team Award for having maintained a collective team grade point average of 93 percent.

During the Nassau County Coaches Association’s annual dinner on Nov. 26, five team members were also presented with the following awards for their achievements on and off the field:

- Erica Bleimeyer – All-Conference

- Alyssa Fiore – All-Class and County Scholar-Athlete Team

- Taylor LeBright – All-Class

- Alexa Schneider – All-County

- Ariana Weingrad – All-Class

The girls soccer team finished the regular season in sixth place in County Conference A1. This was good enough for the Lady Dragons to be seeded sixth out of 16 Class A teams.
