In light of the
recent tragedies surrounding Hurricane Sandy, Lee Road Community Service
members showed their kindness by creating a school-wide campaign called Care
Packages for Kids.
An overwhelming number of Lee Road families donated new
socks, hats, scarves, art supplies, toiletries, toys, games and more.
Approximately
50 care packages were created and decorated with cheerful pictures and
heartfelt sentiments. The care packages were given to children in the Far
Rockaways, whose families were devastated by the recent storm.
