According to the Long Island Power Authority outage map, 4,404 customers in Levittown are still without power as of Saturday afternoon.

This is the among the most in Nassau County in any given town (with the exception of Long Beach, whose outages are not reflected on the map).

Additionally, this number has remained stagnant since Wednesday.

On Friday afternoon, LIPA offered the following statement:

"At this time, we expect to restore the majority of customers who lost power by the weekend of Nov. 10 and 11. The remaining customers could take an additional week or more, excluding those areas where extreme flooding requires coordinating our efforts with local officials."

Patch has placed an inquiry into LIPA specifically about Levittown outages and the expected repair times.

I had no power for 12 days during the coldest of cold weather. On Friday a electrical crew from New Hampshire arrived on our block and within 2 hours had our power on. If we had to count on a LIPA crew doing it we would still be without power. All the homes across the street and around the corner in our little area had lights from day 3. It felt like we were living in a third world country. I have been trying for days to get Traffic Control to answer their phone as the signage on the corner with the cross streets and our street name had blown away during the storm. No one continues to answer that line.

Got power back today after 13 days without thanks to the tremendous efforts of a tree crew from Florida and a line crew from Missouri-to a man, they were courteous, polite, professional and expeditious. They started early Sat morning despite a scheduling screw-up by LIPA, worked all day, packed up at 730pm, came back 730am and had the juice flowing in time for football. They were everything that LIPA is not. Folks-put a sign in your windows when you get power back: "THANK YOU OUT-OF-STATE UTILITY WORKERS-PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US TO LIPA!!!"
