Nov. 23: Rain, Kid Shamrock, Ecumenical Service

Your daily guide to what's going on in Levittown, Wantagh and Seaford.

1) Traveling today? Be careful, as rain is in the forecast in the morning, according to the National Weather Service. The chance of rain does decrease after 1 p.m. and is expected to be gone in time for Thanksgiving Day, where the forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 50 degrees.

3) On Friday, the play Kid Shamrock opens a 10-show run off-Broadway in Manhattan. The play is based on the life of professional boxer Bobby Cassidy Sr., a long-time resident of Levittown who was once the number one contender for the middleweight crown. Patch recently interviewed Cassidy Sr. for a profile story, which will run today at noon.

4) The Long Island Children's Museum will feature the early childhood program "" today at 11:30 a.m.

5) The will host an event where residents can decorate and fill a that they can dip in chocolate. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and makes a great centerpiece for a Thanksgiving dinner.
