Police Searching for Armed CVS Robber

Nassau County Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Levittown CVS last week as Hurricane Sandy hit.

According to police, the suspect entered the CVS located at 646 Wantagh Ave. around 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 29  and walked to the pharmacy area of the store.

The suspect pulled a handgun out at the pharmacy and announced a robbery, police said. He demanded prescription drugs and then fled the store in a dark colored SUV.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, approximately 5-foot-10, with a blue-hooded sweatshirt, dark nylon sweatpants and white sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Nassau County Police Department Robbery Squad at 516-573-8040.
