Preview: Levittown Community Council Meeting

The Levittown Community Council will hold a joint monthly meeting with the Levittown Historical Society on Monday, 7:30 p.m. at the Levittown Museum.

Dr. Natalie Naylor will be discussing her upcoming book, "Women's History of Long Island." Books will be available for purchase, and there will also be a book signing.

Please park in the back parking lot. Time permitting, some videos may be shown, and light refreshments will be served.

Upcoming Events

- The LEADD Walk and Fair will be held on Sunday, April 7. The Council will be walking and will also have a table at the fair, where they will be distributing potted pansies to encourage volunteers for Earth Day Clean Up, and to talk to the community on the benefits that the Council provides.  If you would like to help out that day (or can spare an hour on Saturday April 6 to help pot the pansies) please call Pat Patane at 516 579-2831.

- "Modern Tide" Long Island cinematographer Jake Gorst features his award-winning documentary on mid-20th Century architecture from Levittown homes to Hampton bungalows. April 15, 2013 7:30pm. - Save the Date!  Earth Day Clean Up, Saturday April 20th (rain date Sunday, April 21).  Additional information will be provided in our next newsletter.

- The Kiwanis Club will hold their annual pancake breakfast prior to the LEADD walk on Sunday, April 7 in the Culinary Arts room.

- Starting September, 2013, general meetings will be held at the Levittown Public Library on the 4th Monday of every month.
