A Levittown resident is claiming that a Newsday deliveryman defaced a
"Romney/Ryan" campaign sign on his front lawn by drawing an "X" on the sign
early Wednesday morning.
The alleged incident was caught on video
on the resident's surveillance camera. The video plays at 5:11 a.m.
Wednesday morning and shows the driver get out of his van, stop for a
second, walk up to the house and then stop again before entering his van
and leaving.
A photo supplied by the resident shows a black "X" mark on the sign.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he has filed an incident report with Nassau County police and may file a criminal complaint. He also said that he has contacted a delivery supervisor at Newsday.
really who cares. the election was Tuesday. He lost. get over it and take down the sign. i think the police department has more things to worry about at a time of Sandy, a nor'easter and a gas issue that are suppose to be removed and will get thrown away.
Defacing property is unacceptable at any time!! We should not have to worry about people deciding they don't like something and taking it upon themselves to destroy property...seems to be a lot of double standards these days depending on "who" you are in favor of...i did not put signs on my property for this exact reason...or my car...did not want to have to worry about "certain" people taking it upon themselves to deface or destroy my property or vehicle...it's a shame!!! Sometimes you just have to let the kids "burn their hands" before they figure out fire is dangerous!! Let the next four years tell the story! =/
