3. Hempstead Turnpike Victim's Family Featured in 'Walk Safe' Video - Lauren Davis was a senior at Division Avenue High School when she was struck and killed by a car in 2009. Davis' family got together last week in order to appear in a public service video stressing the dangers of crossing roadways in Nassau County.
2. Van Heusen Clothing Store in Levittown to Close - The store is going out of business with an everything must go clearance sale, up to 80 percent off. An employee at the store confirmed that they will be closed as Monday.
1. Levittown Man Convicted of Extorting Sexual Favors from Female Inmates - Mark Barber, 50, of Levittown, was convicted this past week of third-degree criminal sexual acts, two counts of second-degree receiving reward for official misconduct, 18 counts of official misconduct, seven counts of second-degree sexual abuse and two counts of forcible touching.
