3. Levittown Featured in HBO Documentary - The documentary "Hard Times: Lost on Long Island" spotlights the challenges facing highly skilled, well-educated Long Islanders who lost their jobs after the 2008 crisis. The documentary featured a number of Levittown residents facing economic hardships, in a 5-minute segment in the beginning of the documentary. For more info. check out the HBO website.

2. Levittown Boxing Play Coming to Long Island - The critically-acclaimed Off Broadway play, Kid Shamrock, which is based on the life and boxing career of Levittown resident Bobby Cassidy Sr., is coming to Long Island. The play premiered on Off Broadway in 2011 and has gained notoriety because of it's authenticity. Patrick Connolly, also a Levittown resident, plays a devoted Cassidy fan in the play.

1. - Two vandals were caught on video last Friday spray-painting the side of Island Trees High School, the middle school and a memorial created in memory of alumni who died on 9/11 or in the line of duty. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Murphy told Patch on Friday that the track at Island Trees HS was also spray-painted.
