More than 100 golfers hit the links last month to support the 17th Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) Golf Tournament held at Muttontown Country Club.
The event honored Continental Home Loans Inc. and raised over $80,000 to support the BBBSLI mission to provide quality mentoring and support services to Long Island’s youth. BBBSLI is located in Levittown on Acorn Lane.
“Thanks to the extraordinary support of our golfers and sponsors, this event was once again a great success for BBBSLI,” said BBBSLI CEO Mark Cox in a press release. “I would especially like to thank Continental Home Loans and CEO Michael McHugh for their generosity as presenting sponsor.”
Known as one of Long Island’s most prestigious golf tournaments, awards were presented to the best golfers and foursomes at the dinner reception. Jason Eisenman recorded the lowest score of the day while Doug Mauch took home second place honors.
The team of Carlos Garay, Robert Martinelli and David Cohen scored the lowest team net. Bob Cheadle, Steve Ciaciabella, Gordon Lensio and Kathleen Sullivan registered the second lowest team net score. Rey Teyken hit the longest drive of the day, while Al Digirolomo, Nick Garfinkel, Dan Greenburg and Paul Canatore were all recognized for their closest to pin shots.
Continental Home Loans Inc. was the presenting sponsor for this wonderful event.
