Monster Music to Raffle Off Guitar for Hurricane Sandy Victims

Monster Music will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the outreach.

Monster Music of Levittown and Reverend Guitars are teaming up to help Levittown residents in need following the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, Monster Music will be raffling off a brand new Reverend Manta Ray 290 in Tobacco Burst (Retail value $1,049). All money collected from the raffle will be donated to the local outreach of the St. Bernard’s Parish Social Ministry to assist Levittown residents as they rebuild their lives and homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

St. Bernard’s outreach assists anyone, of any faith, with a proven need who lives within the parish boundaries with compassion and care to those in distress.  At present, over 125 families are served on a weekly basis through the food pantry at St. Bernard’s. It is anticipated that more families and individuals will be needing assistance with food because of the prolonged power outages.

The outreach also goes beyond food to things like home repairs and utility bills, many of which will be of heightened need presently as many breadwinners have lost irretrievable days of work, a release said.

In addition to the financial donation generated by the raffle, Monster Music will also be collecting all non-perishable food items for the outreach. Anyone who shows up at the event and has purchased a raffle, and donates a non-perishable food item, will be given a second raffle at no charge.
