Division Bowling Team Wins Counties

Submitted by Frank Mormando, South Levittown Lanes.

South Levittown Lanes would like to congratulate Division High School on their Nassau County Team Championship win.

Division dominated all day behind a total team effort from Junior Brasino, Nate Smith, John Licht, Chris Reilly and Brandon Soedarmasto. In game 3, Division shot 1189 behind Brandon’s 289 game.

Congratulations to Megan Wing and Kerri Delisi for making the County All-Star team. Megan was as steady as ever in her march to the States as Kerri posted a 701 series for her final 3 games to clinch a spot in the top 6. The final girl spot wasn’t that easy to seize as a roll off was needed to fill the team. The roll off was the first ever during the counties.

Congrats to all the girls who competed and best of luck in Syracuse as we know you will represent Nassau County well.

The boy’s Individuals was one for the ages as Hicksville’s Robbie Culp and Sean Kingsepp put on a show. Culp struck like it was his job on his way to a 6 game total of 1485 (247 Avg). Going into game 6 there was only an 11 pin difference from 8th place to 4th place so it was anyone’s game. The crowd was behind every shot and those who made it will represent Nassau County well.

The state Tournament will be held March 2 and 3 at Strike and Spare Lanes in Syracuse New York. Team Championships will be held Saturday March 2 and The All-Stars will bowl Sunday March 3.

South Levittown Lanes wishes all of you continued success and hope you bring home the gold.
