Did you hire the Patch staff as your personal assistant?
Send you the times HBO will repeat the show?? Are you serious??? In the time it took to write this ridiculous, and extremely absurd request, you could have used your computer to find out for yourself (it might have taken all of 30 seconds), instead of demonstrating how damn lazy you are!!

I watched this documentary last night and cried...I thank God every morning and every night that I have a job. I may be underemployed, but I don't care. I have something; and can support myself. I wanted to help these people so badly...it was incredible. It wasn't because these people weren't looking and were lazy, that's for sure.

I am unemployed, and have no unemployment coming in, I am broke and have zero now to pay my bills. I am wondering what the heck is going to happen to me next month. If I will have a job or not. Its so hard to get up in the mornings, there some days I do not want to. I am looking for a job every day. So either I have one by next month or I am finished.
And looking for a job is very hard. There is zero, and our government leaders have there heads in the sand. Our jobs have gone over sea's and are gone. All for cheap labor. And more and more people are losing their homes. No one is sitting on there butts not looking, I can apply at places and there is over 100 applications that have been up in for 1 job. This country is one great big mess. And our government leaders do zero. they sure know how to agrue up in the congress, and senate bu that is it.

Hard Times is something everyone should see. My husband lost his job in the Spring of 2009 and remained unemployed for 15 months. While we were blessed with enough severance to keep us steady during that time, the uncertainty of whether or not a job would come along was excruciating and frightening. We have young children and a long way to go before retirement. Reinventing yourself is much easier to do in a thriving economy. Finally he took a step down and has traveled every week (all week) for over 2 years, missing out on our daughter's first two years in elementary school. Still, we feel very fortunate compared to so many others. Watch Hard Times. It's easy, and right, to blame our political leadership, but it's time for Americans to start getting more involved in what they're doing and deciding. We often elect them and just trust that they'll make the best choices but after some of the decisions they've been making as of late, I think we need to start over. This is an important election year...much more so that four years ago. Educate yourself about who you're voting for this year - from local to the top. Talk to their representatives as much as you can and let's make a good choice this year. It's up to the People.

Very depressing to watch,,,,,Home owners and tax payers r truly getting raped on L.I......I feel large portions of L.I. have been taken over and Americans have been forced out of many different work force trades..... The people is these jobs now are undocumented, Send money out of L.I. instead of within, and have just basically taken over that the problem is out of control....Fixable, because there are laws written a long time ago to protect a countries citizens from such things....Who is not enforcing them?? Many of our so called leaders need to be immediately arrested and charged with aiding and abetting illegals....People who broke a serious law...

What were you watching??? Stop blaming the illegals. They had nothing to do with this. I can't believe how ignorant you are to make such a statment. Please tell me what illegals were taking these folks jobs. Pull your head out of your rear and look who caused this mess in the first place and it wasn't the black guy. So don't go there either.

I'm with you, B. Sims. That show was upsetting, depressing, frightening...and this problem goes WAY back. Blaming it on Obama and illegals is about as accurate as blaming it on the Tooth Fairy.

A tough documentary to watch. Frightening is the realization that the job situation in this once great economy is expected to get worse. From all I can gather and read about, the POTUS hasn't a clue how to turn things around for you and me. In fact I'm convinced now he doesn't want it to. Never let a crisis go to waste.

What group of people take money and send it out of the country?? Illegals...On payday huge numbers of illegals send U.S. dollars right out of the country...What is the largest demographic who do not pay income tax?? property tax?? school tax? What is so mathematically hard to understand that in a classroom today there are 6 out of 25 students who have parents who pay school tax....Those few parents are taxed more and more each year to pay for that gap of children who have parents who are just not paying for the supplies and salaries of teachers..Who pays for the roads we travel on??? Some towns pay high property tax and are forced to watch police leave patrols in their areas to babysit town of illegals,,,,Are illegals paying the police salaries through their tax??? These illegals cook and serve our food daily and just do not have the immunizations to require that.....Americans get sick from swine flu and still are afraid to bring up illegals...they just rush and get a swine flu shot and avoid the cause of the problem.....I personally work with many illegals and for them to come over completely illegal, some how obtain a drives license and receive $10,000 a year for claiming 2-3 children, because they show no income...everything they get payed is in cash??? There were rules and laws written a long time ago to protect a society from going bankrupt from illegals,no one will enforce the laws and enforcment and out leaders needs to be arrested for aiding and betting illegals
