#5 Levittown Firefighters Extinguish Blaze at Rolling Lane Home - A second story house fire on Rolling Lane in Levittown was extinguished with no injuries reported.

#4 Levittown Walmart Under Construction - The Walmart Neighborhood Market grocery store set to replace the vacant Walbaum's in Levittown is currently under construction and will be completed sometime in 2013. A Walmart spokesman said the new grocery store will be the first ever on Long Island and will provide an "economic boost" to the area.

#3 Family Escapes Raging House Fire - A family of four and their pet dog were able to escape a serious fire on Griddle Lane in Levittown.

#2 Banned Animal Shelter Workers Win Lawsuit - Three banned volunteer animal rescue workers from Hempstead Town Animal Shelter have won their case against the town. Court documents state that the settlement totaled $150,000, including attorney's fees.

#1 Displaced Family's Missing Dog Found After 41 Days - A dog that was missing for 41 days in Levittown has been reunited with its owners -  a Massapequa family that was staying with relatives in Levittown after their home was flooded in the hurricane.

New No Turn on Red Signs Show Up on Hempstead Tpke. - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has installed a number of new "No Turn on Red" signs on Hempstead Tpke. " to improve pedestrian visibility and safety." Many residents feel, however, that the signs are unnecessary and cause traffic jams and even more problems.

Levittown Man Charged With DWI, Possession of Stun Gun - A Levittown man was arrested and charged with driving while in intoxicated, resisting arrest, and for being in possession of a stun gun shaped as a cell phone.

Purse Snatcher Caught Outside Denny's in Levittown - A man who detectives said pushed an elderly woman to the ground in a Wantagh parking lot and snatched her purse was arrested in Levittown outside Denny's after a police pursuit.

Just an update to date we have raised $750 dollars once we reach the first $1000 Shelly will haveRead More her first surgery to correct her right leg then 8 - 12 weeks later hopefully the funds will be available to correct her left leg
