Levittown Property Owners to Discuss Variance Requests at Meeting

The Levittown Property Owners Association (LPOA) meets on Tuesday night, 7:30 p.m. at the Levittown Library Bluegrass entrance for their monthly meeting.

Here's a look at what topics will be covered at the meeting, courtesy the LPOA Facebook page:

- Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Officer Paul Lamonica of Nassau County Police will be visiting the meeting to discuss any issues relating to crime in the neighborhood.

- The LPOA will be discussing the new No Turn on Red signs on Hempstead Tpke. and how they have an effect on traffic.

- The developers of the Crocus Lane Estates property are requesting a variance to build four homes on smaller plots than what is allowed by the LPRD zoning laws. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 in Hempstead. The executive committee of the LPOA will meet with the attorney for the Crocus Lane estates before the hearing in March.

- The hearing on the Balsam Lane property has been postponed to June 12.
