Donald Henry Schultz, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, and a former resident of
Levittown, passed away on Feb. 5, 2013.
Schultz was born in Richmond Hill, New York Dec. 26, 1933. He is
survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Irene (Tashie) Schultz. He is
also survived by his sons, Jimmy, Donny and Tommy (Heather) of
Jacksonville, Florida and his younger sister, Karen
Schultz-Walsh (Bill) of Stratford, New Jersey and 5 grandchildren,
Samantha, Nicole, Autumn, James & Sarah.
Schultz was a proud veteran of
the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed spending his sons teenage years coaching them in soccer. He
retired in 1999 after 35 years of employment in retail supermarkets. He
was the recipient of the George Washington Honor Medal for his dedicated
research of fallen soldiers from his hometown, Freeport, NY.
Visitation
was at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home at 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jax, FL
32223, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 2013. Interment will be Monday, Feb. 11 at 10 am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 4083
Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
Church services will be held at
Christ Church, 9794 Old St. Augustine Rd, 32257 at 12 p.m. following the
burial. Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. 11801 San Jose Blvd.
