Levittown Native James J. Callahan Passes Away

Callahan was 71.

James J. Callahan, formerly of Levittown, passed away on August 1 in his 71st year.

Beloved husband of Betty Jane. Loving father of Danielle Conley (Robert, Jr.), and the late Christopher Cambro. Cherished grandfather of Cody, Ashley, Cole, Corey, and Victoria. Adored by many nieces and nephews. Proud 45 year member and Ex-Chief in the Hempstead Fire Department Engine 4. Dedicated Assistant Superintendent of Public Works for the Village of Hempstead and 20 year employee of Nassau Colliseum.

Reposing Friday, 2-5 and 7-9 pm, at the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home: 603 Wantagh Avenue (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY. Religious service will be held Saturday, 10:00 am, at Christ Lutheran Church of Wantagh, NY. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
