There are suddenly No Turn On Red signs on every corner in Levittown. Did they outlaw Right Turn on Red only for Levittowners? Ranch Lane, Silver Lane, Hamlet Road, Wantagh Parkway, all over the place there are new signs!

It's actually slowing traffic - everyone is piled up at the lights - can someone from Patch contact the state DOT and find out what's going on?

I was just noticing that this week. Getting out of the Target/Stop & Shop parking lot was bad enough. Now people making a right have to wait and that makes traffic in the parking lot go all the way back to the fence of the school. It's ridiculous. If I wanted to be restricted on making right turns I'd live in Queens!

I did notice this and have put in a request for info. to a representative from the NYS Department of Transportation. Look for a story soon.

Too many people don't stop when making a right. Also the 7-11 at division and HT is a problem. The sign is missing that says no left turn into the lot. When you make a right onto division on green, sometimes you have to stop quick because somebody is stopped there making an illegal left into the lot,and the traffic is built up as cars on division are waiting for the light to change....

I do believe that there should be some "No Turn on Red" signs but not everywhere. The ones that were there in the first place are good - but coming out of a shopping area parking lot really builds up traffic and can cause fender benders in the lot. Especially at the Target/Stop and Shop area. Having a No Turn on Red sign going onto Ranch Lane is beyond stupid though. I'll agree with the one on Division - especially since there's a school there nearby.
