Cops: Brooklyn Woman Murdered Housemate, Spread…

After 12 days without power, Friday evening my lights came on.  Needless to say, I was thrilled, however, I still have no heat, hot water or appliances.  It seems that LIPA gave me  a 110 line instead of a 220 line.  When I called them, they tried to tell me I had gas heat!  My house is all electric!  I had an electrician come in and check the lines, he told me to call LIPA.  While I am grateful to at least have lights, I would like to know why after numerous phone calls LIPA still can't get the right voltage coming into my house.  LIPA has to be replaced, I am sure we all agree on that!  We pay among the highest rates in the country for the worse service.  The frustration felt is shared by all and it is a shame that we have to put up with this incompetence.  My heart goes out to all those whose are still in the dark.

The level of incompetence at LIPA is incomprehnsible. We should all put signs in our windows that say "Thank you all out-of-state utility workers for saving us from LIPA-PLEASE DON'T GO!!!"

I couldn't agree with you more! I still have no heat, hot water or appliances and consider myself lucky to have gotten my lights back! Too bad we can't get those out-of-state workers to take over LIPA!
