Murphy on Common Core Resources for Parents

Dear Parents,  

Recently, the New York State Education Department (SED) has shared a link of Common Core resources for parents. I have attached this for your use.http://engageny.org/parent-and-family-resources  

Admittedly, the site can be overwhelming with so much information for parents.  I suggest you “bookmark” the site and browse through the information over a period of time rather than trying to absorb all of the materials at once. 

Remember students in grades 3-8 will take the new Common Core ELA and Mathematics assessments in April.  SED will begin to rollout high school exams next year.
