Where are the LIPA trucks??

It has been over one week without electric on one side of Honeysuckle Road.  LIPA told me today they had 92 trucks dispatched in the Levittown and Hicksville areas.  Funny, I have not seen one truck in my neighborhood.  Something needs to be done and LIPA should have to answer for their negligence.  Cleary they were not prepared!  It is frustrating to say the least.  They know they have us because where else can we go for electric!

I am not local to the area but I do have family and friends there. Rumors are flying that fleets of utility trucks from other states arrived to help but were turned away because they were not union. I certainly hope that was not the case. Unions are struggling nationwide and they certinly do not this kind of bad press. Meanwhile the elderly, children, pets, and even whole families are FREEZING.

I heard that LIPA was involved in a work slowdown with regard to a dispute about overtime and out of state workers. I would like to believe this isn't true. In times of disaster we need to come together as a community. Not be worried about me, me me. If this is true, then this behavior would be despicable

This is my 10th day without power. I have not seen any LIPA trucks in my area. I live on Jerusalem Ave, obviously on the wrong side as across the street has power. I think the only thing LIPA does with any proficiency is raise rates. Maybe it is time for the State to take over. Enough is enough.
