Blacksmith Road Home Damaged in Fire

Fire breaks out early Tuesday morning in Levittown.

A home on Blacksmith Road in Levittown suffered exterior damage in a house fire early Wednesday morning, firefighters said. 

At 2:21 a.m., Levittown firefighters and Nassau County Police were alerted to the house fire on Blacksmith Road, located just west of Jerusalem Avenue. 

Under the command of Chief Christopher Behrens, firefighters were able to stop the blaze from extending into the attic and other rooms in the home.

One room and the exterior of the home were damaged and no injuries were reported, firefighters said. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshals Office.
