Cops: Homeless Woman Arrested for Breaking into Gas Station

A homeless woman was arrested on burglary charges for allegedly breaking into a gas station garage in Levittown on Sunday night.

According to detectives, Second Precinct police officers responded to the Getty Gas Station located at 606 Wantagh Ave. for the report of a criminal mischief in progress.

When officers arrived they observed Ariana Pecorella, 35, no known address, inside the garage bay area.

An investigation revealed the defendant allegedly used a brick to break a glass panel of the garage door to gain entry. Once inside the defendant then allegedly broke multiple Plexiglas panels that were also part of the garage door.

Pecorella was placed into custody and transported to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of cuts to her hands and for substance abuse.

Pecorella is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree.

Pecorella will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead as soon as medically practical.
